German for "Masterpiece," the Meisterstück Solitaire No. 144G and it's white "snow-cap" logo is a worldwide symbol of luxury and quality. Built on the Classique 144, it is slightly smaller than its big brother, the Solitaire 146G. The Meisterstück Solitaire No. 144G features a thin cigar-shaped body and #4 sized nib. The perfect size for those with smaller hands, or those that want a slimmer pen, the Montblanc Solitaire No. 144G truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design.

The Montblanc Solitaire line features top of the line finishes on Montblanc's most popular pens. The Solitaire is made of solid brass with 23.5 carat gold plating. The barley pattern is diamond cut. 

Plastic section threads, old style converter (press fit, not screw-in) and Germany mark on clip date this pen to the mid to late 1980s. In 1985, the 144G was fitted with a 14k nib. In 1989, the nib was 18k with platinum inlay. This 14k nib would likely date this pen to 1985.

The condition of this pen is (F) Poor. The grip section is broken and the pen is not functional. The grip section could possibly be glued and fixed or the pen could be used as parts. Barrel, cap and nib are all in very good condition. Sold for parts.
