German for "Masterpiece," the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique and it's white "snow-cap" logo is a worldwide symbol of luxury and quality. Slightly smaller than its big brother, the 146, the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique features a thin cigar-shaped body and #4 sized nib. The perfect size for those with smaller hands, or those that want a slimmer pen, the Montblanc No. 144 Classique truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design.

The Montblanc 144 Classique can be dated by looking at a couple of key characteristics. The nib, the grip section, and feed. This particular pen is a First Generation model produced sometime between 1980 and 1984. This pen has an engraving reading "83 . 10 . 14" which is likely a date of importance to the previous owner. It is likely this pen was produced in 1983 based on the engraving.
