Montblanc test marketed the VIP fountain pen in 1973. The company decided a slimmer pen was needed in the line-up. Following the successful test, Montblanc launch the Noblesse series of pens in 1974. Production continued through the early 2000's.

The third generation Noblesse was introduced in 1995 and produced through the early 2000s. The third generation was initially offered in a variety of finishes including silver plated, gold plated, and four different Chinese lacquer colors. The thrid generation pens were equipped with fantastic 18K gold nibs ranging the standard size options.

This pen in Jet Black Chinese lacquer which was produced from 1995 to 1997. The pen features an 18K gold Broad nib. Montblanc converter included. The barrel has a name engraved on it. The pen is in (B) Very Good condition.
