The Pilot Super series of pens was introduced in 1955 with the 100, 200, and 300 models. These pens were equipped with gold "nail-shaped" nibs and offered in various trim levels. In 1958, the top-of-the-line Super 500 was released, then in 1959 the extremely rare Super Ultra 500 was released. This pen is the standard Super 500. It offers a large 14K Gold insert nib, a urushi lacquer and gold finish, and an incredible writing experience.
This pen has had the original switch filling system restored with a new ink sac to ensure full writing functionality. It is covered by our 90-Day warranty on service work.
