German for "Masterpiece," the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique and it's white "snow-cap" logo is a worldwide symbol of luxury and quality. Slightly smaller than its big brother, the 146, the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique features a thin cigar-shaped body and #4 sized nib. The perfect size for those with smaller hands, or those that want a slimmer pen, the Montblanc No. 144 Classique truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design.

The Montblanc 144 Classique can be dated by looking at a couple of key characteristics. The nib, the grip section, and feed. This particular pen is a 4th Generation model produced sometime between 1990 and 1992. This pen features an 18K Gold nib, and was likely produced to be sold in the French market, as France did not accept anything under 18K gold as "real-gold" until about 1992.
