Originally introduced in the late 1990's and the "Homage to Frederic Chopin" The 145 and 144 were produced alongside each other for several years before the 144's discontinuation around 2004. The 145, soon after, took the mantle of "Classique." The new and improved Classique featured a slightly larger size than its predecessor, as well as a screw on cap. German for "Masterpiece," the Meisterstück No. 145 Classique and it's white "snow-cap" logo is a worldwide symbol of luxury and quality. Slightly smaller than its big brother, the 146, the Meisterstück No. 145 Classique features a thin cigar-shaped body and #4 sized nib. The perfect size for those with smaller hands, or those that want a slimmer pen, the Montblanc No. 145 Classique truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design.
