Introduced in 1960 after the massive success of the Parker 51, the 45 was designed with the low priced, economy market in mind. The original 45 featured a metal Lusterloy-esque cap and various colored plastics, which was designed to mimic the 51. Over the years, there have been many different colors and trims.
The 45 is slimmer and lighter than the 51 and many of them utilize an aerometric or squeeze converter style filling system.
This particular pen is the CT Custom model. It features a resin plastic barrel and grip section with a gold plated cap. Overall, this pen is in (D) Fair Condition. Major cosmetic defects can be seen on the barrel. The barrel is also warped. Please see photos.
