Montblanc test marketed the VIP fountain pen in 1973. The company decided a slimmer pen was needed in the line-up. Following the successful test, Montblanc launch the Noblesse series of pens in 1974. Production continued through late 90's. The first generation Noblesse ran until the early 1980's.
The first generation Noblesse was offered in a variety of finishes including chrome pinstriped, gold pinstriped, and brushed stainless steel. The 1st generation pens were equipped with fantastic ebonite feeds and 14K gold nibs ranging the standard size options.
