Pilot celebrated its 80th Anniversary in 1998 with a limited edition Black Urushi Lacquer fountain pen. This is an over-sized black Urushi Lacquer fountain pen. This pen was limited to 1,918 pieces in honor of the year Pilot was founded. This particular pen is stamped with 1031/1918 pieces. This pen is New Old Stock. It comes with the Original Urushi Lacquer gift box, inkwell, and papers. As well as a leather carrying pouch to protect the pen. The Urushi box is signed by the same artist that signed the pen. 

This pen is a prime example of the beautiful Japanese craftsmanship Pilot’s Urushi Lacquer pens demonstrate. This is the third one of these pens we have been fortunate enough to have in the last six months. They are wonderful works of art.
