Pilot launched the first "ballpoint-like" click-system fountain pen in 1964. It featured Pilot's revolutionary Knock-shiki (meaning Push-Knob System). The pen was designed to offer Ballpoint Pen ease of use while keeping the Pilot-Namiki fountain pen heritage. Pilot called this pen the "Capless." In the American market, the pen is known as the Vanishing Point.

This particular pen is the 100th Anniversary Shareholder's Gift pen. This pen was gifted to Pilot Corp. shareholders who owned 1,000 shares or more in the company. This pen was never sold in stores. This pen is in (NOS) New Old Stock condition. It has never been inked and comes with the original box and pamphlet.
