In the 1970s, the major Japanes pen manufacturers competed through innovation of nearly every part of the pen. The extended to leather wrap finishes. Many leathers were used from cow to ostrich, frog, lizard and more. 

This Platinum Pen features an 18K gold soft-fine nib (the kanji characters on the nib denote soft fine). Zogan inlaid trim just above the nib (the gold diamond pattern). The pen is in (D) Fair condition.
