Originally released in 1950 just fives after the Rolex Datejust. Just like the slightly larger Datejust, the Oyster Perpetual Date is one of the most recognizable watches of all time. The Date has recently become more popular as watch sizing trends have changed. Powered by the 3035 series caliber, these retro Datejusts are a great alternative to a new Rolex. The 150XX series was relatively short-lived and remains a less common reference. It replaced the four-digit reference (which had been production for more than 20 years) in 1983. The 150XX lasted until being replaced by the 152XX series in 1988.

Pre-owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Watch. Reference 15053. Overall, this watch is in (C) Good condition. Crystal was polished by previous owner and edges are a bit rounded. Recommend replacing the crystal with the next service. Service history is unknown. The watch is keeping good time (see timegrapher reading). Winding and setting the time is a little stiff. 

Wonderful black dial compliments the two-tone bezel and oyster bracelet.
