Introduced in 1968, the Lord Matic was produced by Suwa-Seikosha and ushered in a new era of hi-beat automatic movements for Seiko. The 5606 inspired the architecture for many of the hi-beat Suwa Grand Seiko's and King Seiko models made throughout the 1970's.
