German for "Masterpiece," the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique and it's white "snow-cap" logo is a worldwide symbol of luxury and quality. Slightly smaller than its big brother, the 146, the Meisterstück No. 144 Classique features a thin cigar-shaped body and #4 sized nib. The perfect size for those with smaller hands, or those that want a slimmer pen, the Montblanc No. 144 Classique truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design.

The Montblanc 144 Classique can be dated by looking at a couple of key characteristics. The nib, the grip section, and feed. This particular pen is a third Generation model produced sometime between 1984 and 1990. In addition to the pen's characteristics, this pen has both a serial number and a W Germany mark. Those two marks overlapped in 1991.
