The 45KS was introduced in 1968 with the brand knew 4500 caliber designed by Dani Seikosha. It featured an angular case with sharp edges with a reference number 45-7000. The 4500 movement was designed as a hi-beat successor to the 4400 series of movements. It is a manual wind caliber that ticks at 36,000 beats per hour, or 10 times per second. In 1969, a new case design was released. The 8010, which can be described as a precursor to the well known "Turtle" case design. This particular watch is the "Chronometer" variant. It was certified by the Japanese Chronometer Inspection Institute, and was held to the same rigorous standards as Swiss made chronometers at the time. Overall, this watch is in (C) good condition. Minor scratches and scuffs can be seen on the sides of the case as well as the acrylic crystal. Some minor patina can be seen on the dial as well. Please see all photos.
