Introduced in 1960 after the massive success of the Parker 51, the 45 was designed with the low priced, economy market in mind. The original 45 featured a metal Lusterloy-esque cap and various colored plastics, which was designed to mimic the 51. Over the years, there have been many different colors and trims.

The 45 is slimmer and lighter than the 51 and many of them utilize an aerometric or squeeze converter style filling system. 

This particular pen is the Flighter Deluxe model. It features a full stainless steel barrel and cap, black tassie, and gold trim. Overall, this pen is in (A) Very Good Condition.
