A vintage Seisakusho Kamakura-bori Japanese Eyedropper Fountain Pen with a Parley 14K Gold Flex Nib. The nib is stamped with the JIS registration number 3231, which was registered to the company Ishikawa-Kinpen Seisakushô which belonged to the Japanese nibmeister Kato Kiyoshi. The 14K gold "Parley" nib offers a wonderful flex-nib writing experience.

This pen's unique design is referred to as "Kamakura-bori." Named after the ancient lacquerware technique from Kamakura, Japan. In regards to this pen, the process involves the layering of several different colors of urushi lacquer onto the ebonite pen barrel and cap. Then, a small knife is used to make the "divots" or "scallops" in the urushi, revealing the colors underneath. It is a time consuming process, but the result is well worth it!

This pen has had the worn out, original cork shutoff valve seal replaced with o-rings. Providing a great alternative to prevent leaks near the back of the pen. 90 day warranty on service work.
