In 1978, the Pilot Custom was redesigned with the introduction of the Grandee Tomo. The Grandee KG-700RS is identifiable by its unique gold clip which Pilot said "evoked tradition and elegance." The Grandee was available in several different finishes. It was also available with seven different nib sizes; EF(extra-fine), F(fine), SF(soft-fine), M(medium), B(broad), OB(oblique-broad), and MS(music).
