Pilot Art Craft Maki-e with black lacquer and gold diamond pattern. The pen features a 18k Fine Gold nib. Squeeze converter is included. Gold plated angled clip dates this to the mid-1970s and possibly into the early 1980s. A similar (although different pattern) art craft maki-e pen is featured in a 1976 advertisement from Pilot. These were high end offers. While the most elaborate maki-e pens had a retail price of 250,000 yen in the 1970s, this pen would have been priced somewhat lower.
