In 1977, Platinum introduced a new line of leather wrapped pens they called their Exotic Leather Series. Platinum produced pens wrapped with leathers like Lizard, Crocodile, Snake, and even Shark. This pen is believed to be the Takage, or Lizard, model. This pen is equipped with an 18K gold nib. Platinum nibs are stamped with Kanji symbols, which indicate the nib tip size. The symbols on this pen translate to "Fine."
