The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is one of the longest running models still in production by the brand. It shares many design similarities with the Datejust and Day-Date models. 

The Oyster Perpetual gets its name from Rolex's two most important innovations. The Oyster case design, which grants the watch its waterproofness, and the Perpetual automatic movement. Pairing this with its 34mm case size, the OP is wearable by everyone.

This watch is the 1500 reference, and features a stunning Taupe colored dial. The Rolex Caliber 1570 has what is called a "long set" date indicator. Meaning, the hands must be advanced a full 24 hours in order to set the date. As compared to a "quick set" complication that features a secondary crown position to advance the date. Long set date indicators were the normal until the 5-digit reference number Rolex's were introduced.
