The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is one of the longest running models still in production by the brand. It shares many design similarities with the Datejust and Day-Date models. The biggest difference is the absence of any date or day indicators. This allows the Oyster Perpetual to have a clean, simple, and striking appearance.
The Oyster Perpetual gets its name from Rolex's two most important innovations. The Oyster case design, which grants the watch its waterproofness, and the Perpetual automatic movement. Pairing this with its 34mm case size, the OP is wearable by everyone.
This watch is the 1005 reference. It features a two-tone 18K yellow gold and stainless steel case with matching rivet bracelet. The watch has a striking "bronze" colored dial with gold tone indices. This watch is in very good vintage, unpolished condition. The watch does have some very slight resistance during winding, and while the crown does screw down, some of the starting threads on the crown tube are quite worn, causing only a part of the total threads to engage.
