The Seiko 6309-7049 “Turtle” is one of Seiko’s most iconic vintage dive watches, known for its distinctive cushion case and comfortable, highly wearable profile. Introduced in 1976 and produced into the late 1980s, it became a benchmark for Seiko’s rugged, no-nonsense diver design. It’s powered by Seiko’s 6309A automatic movement, widely respected as a durable workhorse and relatively straightforward to service over the long term.

Classic details include the protected 4 o’clock screw-down crown and a highly legible dial designed for real tool use. Original examples were rated to 150m and use a Hardlex mineral crystal, adding to the model’s practical reputation.
