Pre-owned Japanese Warranted Fountain Pen. Warranted on clip and on nib. R14K (Rolled 14K gold) marks on clip and cap band. 14K Gold Medium nib. Nib has some flex to it. Maki-e crane motif on barrel and cap. No JIS mark suggesting the pen is made in the early 1950s or prior.
There were many pens made in Japan without brands. The nibs and bodies were shopped by jobbers in the industry. The quality of the pens varied widely. This is one of the better quality pens. Hints are found in the R14K hall mark on the cap as well as the 14K Gold nib. This is a unique pen that would make a nice addition to any fountain pen collection.
This pen has been serviced by our pen repair team. The dried out, old sac has been replaced with a new sac. Our service pens come with a 90 day warranty on service work.
